Safeguards for Children in Sport
The International Safeguards for Children in Sport is an invaluable resource used by organisations working with children to ensure they sport and play in a safe and conducive environment. The treatise, which was launched at the Beyond Sport Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa in October 2014, highlights eight safeguards that reflect international declarations, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, existing child protection and safeguarding standards, relevant legislation, government guidance, and good practice.
